“The adoption of outside culture into our own is evident in many of our celebrations and annual events.” - L. Aragon

The Acoma people as well as many other Pueblos share in the observance of All Souls or Dia de Metros (Day of the Dead). In honoring both cultures and remembering those who have transitioned to the next world, designer Loren Aragon presents his version of the sugar skull, Na’srkai’na as a wearable art form. Na’srkai’na is the Keres word for skull.
